Residents across the county tell me that they don’t see police officers anymore. Yes, Police officer numbers are at their highest in a generation, but so much of their time is taken up fighting crime and catching criminals meaning less time for them to be walking their beats along the streets of our towns.
We need to do more to harness the potential of digital technology for the police force to stay relevant, effective and responsive to protecting and serving us.
