Proactively identifying and tackling all crime.

Hertfordshire is already one of the safest places to live in the UK, but fear of crime remains stubbornly high. I will build on the good work of the current Police and Crime Commissioner, David Lloyd to make our towns and communities feel even safer by addressing the most prevalent crimes.

In Hertfordshire there are currently 60 crimes per 1000 residents. The UK national average is 94 crimes per 1000.  The most common are violence and sexual offences, followed by anti-social behaviour, cyber crime, vehicle crime, public order offences and burglaries.

We can all become victims of such crimes and the damage they do to our lives. That is why we must listen to and work together with our local communities to identify and root out anti-social behaviour and catch the perpetrators.
